John Lansch began his acting career after receiving dual degrees in Psychology and Social Work from Houston Baptist University.
Through an audition, he started performing with the Actor's Theater of Houston in THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE as Dudley R. Bostwick, and was the main player in their children's theatre program, which toured Texas performing for groups throughout the state. He has been seen on stage as John Worthing in the Oracle Theatre production of the Oscar Wilde play THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING ERNEST. At the Unity Theatre in Brenham as Bill Ray in ON GOLDEN POND and as Richard Nixon in the 2 person play NIXON'S NIXON. He is currently appearing with the comedy improv troupe Die Laughing Mysteries as Sal Caputo the Film Producer and is one of the top Austin Powers impersonators.
He has been seen acting on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX and the Animal Planet. With solid auditions, he has appeared in numerous commercials and on Billboards advertising for companies such as Doritos, Fuddruckers, Home Depot, 104 KRBE, etc. Some of his credits include the feature films PACHINO IS MISSING, TWO DAYS, A WOMAN OF INDEPENDENT MEANS, OPEN SEASON, THE SUMMONING, FOR SALE BY OWNER, HIJACKED. Television's CHASE and HOLLYWOOD SAFARI. As a film producer, he has also appeared in KING OF RAIN, SPIRIT CAMP, KILLING MR. RIGHT and ROGUE STRIKE.
While in Los Angeles he co-founded the cutting edge actor’s workshop Actors – Post Guru. With attendees ranging from actor to film producer the focus was on the audition process. He has continued teaching acting at the University of Texas, Austin Musical Theatre, and independently throughout the state. He opened the
John Lansch - Studio for Actors in 2005.
